SAPHO FLOR
Sapho Flor is an East Asian Medicine practitioner who is passionate about building models of community care. Through acupuncture and herbal medicine, they provide a safe space to reconnect to self, body and land, nurturing the collective movement towards freedom.
My intention for my practice is to help people awaken to their own medicine. The goal of each session is to develop awareness of the body's intelligence and its capacity for healing. By co-constructing a practice of individualized care, I hope it will serve as a tool for resilience. Sessions are aimed to be accessible and inclusive to all.I feel deeply honored and grateful to merge my life purpose with serving community by respectfully sharing this medicine. There are so many teachers, colleagues and lineages that have shaped me over the years. I carry them with me always as I work and move through life.- Sapho (they/them)

About Me
I was born and raised by Tongva Land (Carson, CA) and my family of origin is from the archipelago known as the Philippines (Iloilo and Zambales). Many life experiences have led me on this path to studying and practicing East Asian Medicine like social work, nursing, and massage therapy.I moved my life to the Bay Area in 2013. After graduating from Acupuncture and Integrative Medicine College, Berkeley in 2018, I started working for Bittermelon Acupuncture and Herbal Medicine in Contra Costa County. I occasionally sub at Berkeley Community Acupuncture. I also organize community acupuncture pop-ups with my friends through our healing collective, QiKi Club.As a practitioner, it’s my responsibility to sustain my physical and emotional health, which I balance with my passion for the fiber arts, archery, martial arts, dance, and too many other hobbies.
